“Perfect happiness is a beautiful sunset, the giggle of a grandchild, the first snowfall. It’s the little things that make happy moments, not the grand events. Joy comes in sips, not gulps.“

For the last few months I’ve been experimenting with my jean wardrobe. Until last year at least 80% of my pairs of jeans were skinny crops in various washes and while skinny crops will probably always be one of my go-tos, I knew I needed to expand beyond my comfort zone.
I’ve tried Mom Jeans and while I find them terribly comfortable, I’m not convinced the baggy, excessive fabric around the hips is really my thing.
I’ve tried Boyfriend Jeans dozens of times and have yet to find a pair that doesn’t make me feel 6″ shorter and 30 lbs heavier.
So I’ve been pretty desperate to find a great pair of denim that WORKS for my curvy body type and petite height. Something different from my skinny jeans but still flattering like they are.
Something like a great dark wash, straight leg pair of jeans. No frills, no edge. The sort of jean you can wear and wear and wear for years. The sort of jean that will long out-live the skinny jeans trend…
A pair of jeans that feels timeless.
Enter this pair of perfect denim from AG.
For years Hubby has worn and loved his AG Jeans but I’d always been worried the cut would be too straight for my curvy figure — I HATE when waist bands gap!
But luckily I gave their Isabelle pair a try because now I am positively smitten.
They are the perfect straight leg, dark wash, take-me-everywhere, work-for-everything, flattering cut jeans. They hug my curves without flattening them out. They don’t gape at the waist, look great with flats or heels, and come in the perfect dark wash to compliment just about any look.
And while they may not seem substantially different from my dark wash skinny jeans, I really can’t believe how many different outfits I can create from just one pair of straight-leg jeans.
