St. Patrick’s Day has got to be my favorite holiday.

And not because I’m Irish. Or that I particularly swoon over Irish food. Or Irish culture (though I do, believe me). It’s mainly because St. Patty’s Day gives me a socially-acceptable excuse to overindulge in wearing green.

Actually it’s the only holiday that requires you to wear green. If only out of fear of being pinched. Or for a discount on your green beer. But why on earth wouldn’t you want to wear green regardless?

Green is my absolute favorite color. I wear it and obsess over wearing it often. And in the gray March month, I crave green with a ridiculous obsession. So St. Patrick’s Day always feels like such a wonderful kick-start to the spring season. A kick-start to the greenery that’ll come as summer approaches.

So I don’t ever just wear green. I almost always wear green-on-green (proof from 2015). Because when it comes to green, more is always better as far as I’m concerned. Especially for St. Patrick’s Day!

Where do you stand? Do you believe in wearing green for St. Patrick’s Day?
