Generally… well, usually… I am able to manage myself pretty well in winter.
I’m a native Midwesterner, for heaven’s sake! Snow does NOT scare me.
But after spending a few weeks in Florida earlier this month (missing most of the brutal Chicago weather, mind you), my body just can NOT seem to come to terms with winter.
I’ve been sluggish, tired, and constantly convinced I’ve come down with a cold. My nose is leaking constantly (TMI, I know). And I find myself shivering violently even in 40+ degree weather!
In truth, I’ve been pathetic. I’ve actually started counting down the days until the end of winter… Hubby and I are going to Vegas for a friend’s wedding next weekend and I’m actually convinced I may not make it until then. I swear, I’m about two seconds away from permanent hibernation until spring.
All I can say is if winter is supposed to reveal your true strength of character then I’m about as strong as strong as a soap-bubble this year…
