I won’t lie… I don’t think I’ve ever been happier to say good-bye to a year of my life.
2016 has been HARD.
It’s been filled with complications, family issues, the deaths of three close family members, interruptions, and plenty of “growing pains”. It’s been a year of constant change, constant upheaval, and constant struggle.
That said, 2016 is the year I’ve finally defined my personal style for myself, too. I’ve been blogging for a little over 2 years now, and if there’s one true reward in taking hundreds of photos of yourself in various outfits, it’s that you begin to really understand your own style.
For the first time in my life, I feel like my style is 100% my own. Not a rehash of the inspiration I find on Pinterest and through various celebrities and bloggers. It’s mine.
A bizarre mishmash of vintage coats, obsession-worthy designer bags, and plenty of midi dresses. With lots of inexpensive pieces mixed in.
My 20’s have been filled with dozens of style phases and mistakes. But as this decade comes to a close, I suddenly feel my style maturing rapidly. I’m finally getting into the swing of things.
I’ve started purging my wardrobe heavily, tossing trendy pieces for classic investments. I’ve stopped worrying so much about what people think of my style — it may be very different from most but that’s what I’m learning to love and embrace about it.
So without further ado, here are…
