Few things are cherished more by Chicagoans than an Indian Summer. As survivors of our infamous Chiberia winters, we soak up every last morsel of summer sunshine we can get, toting around hot pumpkin spice lattes without a care that its in the 80s.
That’s just how we roll here in the Midwest.
But dressing for an Indian Summer can be a little more complicated — I always feel torn on which season to dress for: summer or autumn. And though I’ve been craving my favorite fall pieces (I can’t wait to wear my burgundy jeans and favorite blanket scarf again), the temperature dictates sandals and breezy blouses.
This outfit is the perfect mixture of both summer and fall with the midi silhouette, a primarily autumn palette balanced with summery mules, and breathable mesh in the blouse.
