By the time February comes around, I’m always craving warmer weather and a great little spring dress to wear in it. When Anna of NoirFriday mentioned this 3.1 Phillip Lim dress in her January sales post round-up, I knew this was the perfect dress to satisfy my spring dress cravings without catching pneumonia.
The combination of burgundy wool and lilac silk makes this a brilliant transitional piece to wear from winter to spring. The different fabric weights create a poetic fluidity in the movement of the dress but the off-center colorblocking give this classic silhouette, as the designer says himself, “a little madness”. This is my first Phillip Lim dress but I have to admit, I’m hooked on his brand of mad genius pieces!
And for those souls also craving wearing a spring dress in winter, my tip is to throw a dressy puffer coat over your shoulders to stay warm but chic!
