For Americans, today is a day of celebrating our thankfulness for all life has given us. Originally this began as thankfulness for a good harvest to nourish family throughout the long winters but now it’s turned into thankfulness for each and every thing that has touched and nourished our souls. Today I am so very grateful for my loving husband, two spunky pugs, my incredibly supportive family and my inspiring friends who, throughout the last year, have helped my soul blossom. This has truly been a surprising and spectacular year and has marked my return to photography, a passion that had left a void in my life ever since my father’s passing in 2010. With all of life’s wild ups and downs, it truly is amazing the difference a year makes.
So on this Thanksgiving, let us take pause to be grateful for the souls who give our own souls meaning. Of all the investments we make in life, it is our investment in ourselves and our nearest and dearest that truly defines our identity and our journey.
Happy Thanksgiving!
